How much does corporate video production cost in Sydney? (2026)
Real 2026 price ranges for corporate, testimonial and brand videos in Sydney, what drives the cost, and how to get more from your budget.
"How much does a video cost?" is the first question almost every client wants to know, and the honest answer used to be "it depends". That's true, but it isn't helpful. So here are the real numbers for Sydney in 2026: what different types of corporate video cost, what pushes the price up, and where the money actually goes.
In short: In Sydney, a simple interview or testimonial video typically costs $2,000–$5,000, a corporate or marketing video $5,000–$15,000, and a brand film $8,000–$25,000. High-end campaign films with talent and multiple locations run $40,000 and up. The biggest cost drivers are shoot days, locations, crew size and visual effects or extras in post-production.
How much does a corporate video cost in Sydney?
Published price guides from Australian production companies put most corporate work in these ranges (excluding GST):
Type of video | Typical Sydney price | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
Testimonial or interview video | $2,000–$5,000 | Half or full shoot day, one interview, a 1–2 minute edit |
Social media video | $2,500–$5,000 | Short vertical edits for Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok |
Corporate or marketing video | $5,000–$15,000 | Script, one shoot day, a 2–3 minute edit plus cutdowns |
Brand film or case study | $8,000–$25,000 | Story development, director-led shoot, cinematic edit |
Multi-camera or multi-location | $15,000–$50,000 | Several shoot days or locations, bigger crew |
Hero campaign film | $40,000–$150,000+ | Talent, locations, art department, full post-production |
The ranges overlap because "corporate video" covers everything from a single interview to a multi-day brand campaign. Treat them as a starting point, not a quote.
What drives the cost of a video?
Most of the cost comes down to five things.
Shoot days. A full crew costs roughly $1,800–$4,500 a day in Sydney, covering producer, camera, sound and lighting. Every extra day or location adds to it.
Crew size. One videographer with a camera is cheapest. A director, director of photography, sound recordist and gaffer cost more, and look and sound noticeably better. In short, you get what you pay for.
Editing. Editors charge around $950–$1,900 a day, and a 2–3 minute video typically takes 1.5–3 days to edit. Motion graphics, colour grading and sound mixing add more.
Story and planning. Strategy, scripting and pre-production are the cheapest part of the budget and the most important. A clear story saves days on set and in the edit.
Extras. Actors and presenters, drone footage, music licensing, location fees and permits, and travel outside Sydney are usually quoted separately.
Why do some videos cost $3,000 and others $30,000?
The difference usually isn't the camera. It's how much thinking, crew and editing go into the video, and how many finished assets you get at the end.
In my documentary work for National Geographic and Stan, the most expensive shoots are when you start filming before the script and schedule are ready. The same is true for corporate video. A $5,000 video with a sharp story will outperform a $30,000 video that tries to say everything.
How can I get more from my video budget?
Film once, cut many times. The shoot day is the expensive part. Plan to leave with a hero video and short cutdowns for social, ads and email.
Use real customers. Customer stories cost less than actors, and they're more believable. Authenticity drives trust and conversion.
Lock the story first. Agree the message, audience and call to action before you book a crew.
Batch your shoots. Three videos filmed in one day cost far less than three separate shoots.
Ask what's included. Revision rounds, music, captions, aspect ratios and footage ownership vary a lot between suppliers.
